Juventus
& Allianz Stadium

The northern Italian city of Turin may not attract the same global attention as Rome or Milan, but for football supporters it offers one of Italy’s most compelling destinations. The city is home to Juventus, Italy’s most successful football club and one of the most recognised teams in world sport

For Italians, however, Turin holds the country’s most successful football club. Juventus have won 36 Serie A titles, more than any other Italian side, and the city’s old-money industrial heritage – anchored by the Agnelli family who have owned Juve since 1923 – continues to shape both the club’s identity and Turin’s quiet pride.

A visit to Turin to witness The old Lady, combines football heritage with elegant architecture, historic cafés and a refined cultural atmosphere.

Chapter 01

Allianz Stadium

Juventus plays its home matches at the modern Allianz Stadium.

Opened in 2011 on the site of the former Stadio delle Alpi, the stadium marked a turning point for Italian football. It was the first club-owned stadium built in modern Serie A, giving Juventus greater control over its matchday experience and revenue.

With a capacity of just over 41,000 spectators, the stadium is smaller than many European venues but designed to maximise atmosphere. The stands sit close to the pitch, amplifying the chants from supporters in the Curva Sud.

The stadium complex also includes the Juventus Museum, which traces the club’s history through trophies, historic shirts and multimedia exhibitions.

Before every match, the streets and stands around Allianz Stadium fill with the songs, scarves and rituals that have shaped this club’s matchday identity for generations.

Allianz Stadium opened in 2011 on the site of the old Stadio delle Alpi, becoming the first major Italian club ground owned outright by its football club rather than the city. The compact 41,507 capacity prioritises atmosphere over scale, and the steep tiers bring supporters notably close to the pitch, a marked break from the cavernous Olympic-era grounds that house many of Italy’s other top sides.
