The Biggest Summer Concerts We Are Looking Forward To In 2023

With Spring starting to creep up on us, attention within the music industry is naturally turning towards the festival season on the horizon.

The impact of the COVID 19 pandemic just a couple of years ago disrupted many summer gigs in the UK and the knock on effect of the devastation within the industry is still being felt in 2023. However, with some of the biggest names in the world choosing to tour the UK this summer, there is a growing sense of optimism amongst music fans of all genres, that 2023 should be a year to remember for summer gigs.

Sporting stadia in the UK has played home to some of the most iconic gigs of all time and the appeal for large scale, open air, summer gigs at arenas such as Wembley and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium remains sky-high amongst fans.

What we have to look forward to this summer:

Wembley Stadium

Harry Styles

A man who needs no introduction, is former One Direction, now solo global superstar, Harry Styles.

After two sold out performances at Wembley Stadium last year were met to reviews such as “Spellbinding” and “packed with joy”, the megastar is coming back this June to put on another four shows.

Singles such as ‘As it Was’, taken from his record breaking third album ‘Harry’s House’ have transcended Styles into a whole new sphere as a musical artist and his shows at Wembley promise to be absolutely epic this summer. Expect sequins, feather boa’s, conga lines and two hours of good vibes!

It is hard to believe that it has been nearly 30 years since Blur released their seminal album, Modern Life Is Rubbish, in the summer of 1993. These two, 2023 Wembley summer shows will be the first time Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree have come together for a headline show since 2015.

With hits like ‘Parklife’, ‘Girls and Boys’ and ‘Country House’ set to transport you back to the mid nineties, it’s time to dust off your Adidas Gazelles and bucket hats.. Britpop is back!!

The Weeknd

Canadian artist The Weeknd has produced some of the highest selling albums worldwide over the past decade and his Wembley show this summer, promises to be a memorable one.

As part of the “After Hours Til Dawn” World Tour, which saw the award winning artist break attendance records on the North American leg of his worldwide tour, this will be The Weeknd’s first UK stadium show and mark the end of his epic European tour.

You can fully expect the Weeknd to put on a show. With  greatest hits such as “Save your Tears”, Blinding Lights” and “Can’t feel my face” and a theatrical, apocalyptic stage production including dozens of dancers and pyrotechnics.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

When it comes to record breaking artists, very few in the world can compete with the record sales and streaming statistics of Beyonce.

It is hard to believe that she has been in the public eye for over 25 years, starting out as part of iconic American trio Destiny’s Child, before transitioning into one of the biggest solo artists on the planet.

This is the “Cuff It” singers first solo tour in over six years and is expected to be her biggest and best tour yet.

And the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, a state-of-the-art music venue, is going to be the ideal place to see her return to stage. Imagine.. the sun setting over London and you’re singing “Drunk in Love” at the top of your lungs with 62,000 other people and Queen Bey.

Red Hot Chili Peppers

Few bands possess the enduring appeal enjoyed by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and they are once again embarking on an epic global tour.

Having formed 40 years ago back in 1983, the Red Hot Chili Peppers have evolved with the times and are still producing relevant music, which appeals to all generations.

With no fewer than 13 studio albums to pluck hits from, it promises to be memorable night at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for every Red Hot Chili Peppers fan in attendance, in what is only one of two appearances in the UK this year.
